Close to what's happening, but far enough to get away from it all.
Our 1910 built City of Austin Landmark home is located in historic Fairview Park, the first suburb of Austin. At least, back then it was a suburb - now it's the trendiest neighborhood in downtown Austin, the Live Music Capitol of the World. Just a few blocks walk from shops, restaurants, and music venues of South Congress Avenue. See and be seen at Jo's Coffee, enjoy fine dining at the numerous SoCo restaurants, listen to live music at the Continental Club, and walk back when your evening is done to the privacy of this peaceful, secluded spot.
The Sunday House is a 1 bedroom apartment upstairs of the original carriage house and behind the main house.
Fully furnished and roomy enough for families, it has a separate bedroom, full bath with clawfoot tub, living room with sleeper couch, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen.
Access is via a private exterior staircase. The surrounding yard is landscaped with beautiful flowers and plantings year round. You are welcome to enjoy the gardens.
Kids can play on the play-scape while you relax with a cup of coffee outside. You won't believe just how quiet this secluded retreat is and how near it is to the most exciting neighborhood in downtown Austin.
